how it works:
- You create your episode using whatever format is easiest for you, such as MP3 or QuickTime.
- We take your file and convert it to the most popular formats and platforms.
- Your audience can download or subscribe to whichever format they prefer!
Here are the formats we currently convert to:
Audio: MP3, OGG, WMA
Video: FLV, WMV, QuickTime, MPEG-4 Mobile, WMV Mobile, 3GP, Audio (if specified)
We also make your original media file available for download too. Oh and the best part? The conversion happens
after you upload your media file, which means it doesn't count towards your upload quota!

An attempted download means someone (or some application) has tried to download one of your episodes. A completed download
means they actually downloaded the entire thing!

You can organize your episodes any way you like! For simple, ad hoc organization, simply tag each episode you
add with relevant keywords. For more formal organization, add your episodes to categories that you create. There
is no limit on the number of categories you can create, and each one has its own image and description. Of
course, there's no reason you can't use both tags and categories!

You can present your episodes in the way that makes most sense for your audience.
Although it's a great technology, BitTorrent can be difficult to setup. Fortunately, we do all the heavy lifting
for you! All you have to do is add your episode, and we take care of the rest. Your audience can download a torrent
for any episode, for any format, or they can subscribe to a torrent-only feed for any format.
Likewise, if your audience has RedSwoosh installed, we'll
automatically enable their downloads using that P2P network as well.

No need to get all technical to create an RSS feed for your audience, we'll do it for you. In fact, we automatically
generate a valid RSS 2.0 feed for each of the following:
- Your episodes (your default feed)
- Your categories
- Your tags
- Your comments

- Episodes for each tag
- Comments for each episode
Actually, we don't generate just one feed for each of those. Nope, we generate a feed for every format,
and a BitTorrent feed for every format too. Want to subscribe to your entire podcast in WMA? Done. Want to subscribe
to your "cooking" tag in OGG with BitTorrent downloads? Done.

Creative Commons is a non-profit organization that offers flexible copyright licenses (called Creative Commons licenses)
for creative works. We've integrated Creative Commons into Podcast Spot, so you can easily choose a license for
your episodes. We've also made it pretty simple to find episodes that are licensed using Creative Commons.
What it means for you:
You can take advantage of flexible licenses for your content.
You won't find any confusing payment schemes here! You can choose a free account, or one of our Storage or
Professional accounts. Instead of a monthly subscription model, all of our accounts are pay-as-you-go. You can
